

About Dr. Layton

E. Olita Layton, MD is a board certified anesthesiologist and holds an active medical license in the sunshine state of Florida. She is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed her anesthesiology residency at University of South Florida in 2005. The first six years of her career, she practiced at a Level II trauma center in California. Her hobbies of long distance running, triathlons, sailing, motorcycle riding, beekeeping, and SCUBA diving drove her interest in wilderness medicine and led her to obtain her Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine in 2016. She believes that vigilance is key to providing the safest anesthetic care to her patients. Olita and her husband are also licensed coast guard captains and live with their three rescued dogs and three rescued cats in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
